Geisha of Gion
The guide book suggested that we take a walk down the old streets of Gion by staying off the main thoroughfare and keeping a little off the beaten track. So, we did and were rewarded with a wonderful view of this Geisha, fully made up, dressed to impress and hurrying to an appointment.
I first spotted her coming down a side street. She saw me reach for my camera and suddenly sped up and hurried past! I just managed to catch this shot as she disapeared up the street!
